Our family and some friends and their families decided we needed to take the kids camping for their first time. We headed of to
Caprock Canyon National Park. I know you think West Texas is flat and ugly but this canyon is BEAUTIFUL! We had a great time with our friends. We had
smores cooked over a huge fire and slept very well in our tents. The kids had so much fun. The dads took the kids hiking in the morning while we cooked breakfast. The only hard part was the RED DIRT! It was everywhere,but you can always wash dirt right? At one point we realized that Pierce was eating the dirt so that probably was not the best but he had a great time along with his brother, sister and friends. We are so grateful to have met such good friends here. We will planning another camping trip soon but maybe we will avoid the red dirt this time. Camping is such a great thing for us to do as a family, we hope it will be a tradition!
