Silly

It is so fun to be young and silly!
They make us laugh all the time!

My Red Shoes

These pictures don't really need any explanation. Except if I may say that I love my little girl! She makes me smile so much and often times she is not even aware of her service to me. There is nothing sweeter than Autumn wanting to wear my new red shoes because I just wore them to church and she wants to be like her mom. It just so happen that she had a swimsuit to match!

The Caverns of San Antonio

My mom is the best! Every time we come to San Antonio she has the coolest things planned. For the trip this spring we went to the caverns. It was amazing and so beautiful. We trekked down under the earth to see these majestic formations being made as we were looking at them. The kiddos did great we were very proud of them. We did have to tell Keston that Batman might be down there to get him to go but he was good once we were below the surface. I think the highlight for him and Autumn was the massive mounds of very very old bat poop. Hey kept their attention what can you say:)

Uncle Flood and Aunt Nette

Family to love
Friends to laugh with
Pals for little ones
Memories to share
We love our Uncle Flood and Aunt Nette
And their fantastic boys and darling daughter in-law

Siblings

What a great day we had!
You could feel it in the air they love each other so much and were just so sweet all afternoon to one another. It is amazing what an abundance of love can do to a mothers mundane routine of lunch and this and that. I love my kiddos!

Granny Thomas

Our Granny is leaving us! We are so grateful that she moved here so we could get to know her better and love her even more. I am so happy that our children have a relationship with her now and love her dearly. She is so kind and loving and always is thinking of others. Her testimony of the gospel inspires me to do better and to learn more. What a lovely women she is! We are going to miss her so much but promise we will come to visit her soon!

My Kitty

One eye open and one eye shut just like a sleeping cat Miss Autumn was this morning. Twilight our cat is the best kid cat a family could have! She is almost as big as our children and just as loving.

Goodnight Tractor

Goodnight moon,
Goodnight mouse,
Goodnight TRACTOR
and goodnight house.

I thought bath time was over?

Pierce loves his baths! What he hates is when he has to get out and mom gets the water ready for one of his siblings. This particular evening he was fed up and just got back in pajamas and all! He is so cute! I love his expression as if everything was normal yet knowing he was caught.

Ice Cream:)

On a hot summer day what is better than cold ice cream? NOTHING! Aunt Jenny came over for dinner and she brought ice cream cones! They kids were so cute I could not help but take a couple of pictures. These are the simple moments when life just tastes good!

Hangin Out With My Dad

I am not sure if Kelton will appreciate this picture, but I LOVE it. He is such an amazing Dad and leads our family in love and a lot of fun. The thing that Kelton does the best is make everything fun even work. He has taught me so much about parenting and compassion. He always watches early Saturday morning cartoons with the kids and they love it! They just love their Dad so much it makes my heart melt when I think about their relationship.

Grandpa

This is a very common scene in our house. What you can't see is the movie that the kiddos and grandpa are watching. When grandpa comes over the kids always ask if he can watch a movie or they say mom are you leaving? Mom please can grandpa babysit us? Come on grandpa I wanna show ya something! They love their grandpa so much! In many ways he defines what being a grandpa is but the best way is that all of his grandchildren know that their grandpa loves them very much. They are so lucky to have him be so involved in their lives:)

The Storm

One evening as we were eating the kids noticed out the window there was a storm coming so we decided to watch it out of our window and then eventually went out to the back porch to get a better look. The sky looked so dark and you could tell it was a big Texas storm. As we would run out in the rain and the very small hail we noticed the hail was getting bigger and the clouds were looking a little scary. Just as we were noticing all this the phones started ringing. First my brother in-law called to tell us to turn on the T.V., then friends who lived near by who were saying the same. To make a long story short we did get our bathroom ready with 72 hour kits, radios and the crib mattress to put over the bathtub as we prepared for the funnel clouds above us to form a tornado. It was scary for about 2 min. but the tornado never formed and all was well. Those two minutes made us realize just how quickly things can go wrong and how we need to heed to the counsel that the leaders of our church have given us, to be prepared for any emergency that may arise. Autumn and Keston still talk about tornados all the time and always asks if we can see one.

The Hunt

It is tradition that we have Easter dinner, egg hunting and eating of candy at Uncle Garth's and Aunt Brooke's house. This year was a lot of fun and the kiddos enjoyed the egg hunt. Ther were so many kids this year that it made it so fun to watch. Of course I wanted to get our family Easter picture and we did...not what I was thinking for Pierce's clothes but I think it is one of my favorites. I know when I look back at this photo I will remember the crazy fun we had as a young family. Or I will think why is everyone wearing jackets and sweaters and my kids have no shoes on and poor Pierce doesn't even have a shirt on. Kelton is so sweet I know he put the ties on the boys really quick for this picture because he knew how hard I had worked on them, thank you honey!

Easter Buddies

This is Autumn and her friend Rachel whose mother is the master seamstress that helped me make all of my Easter attire. The girls have become great friends especially because they live a couple of houses from each other. The girls looked so cute that day, Becca did a fantastic job on Rachel's dress. And yes the boy in the background hitting things with a rather large stick is our very own Keston.

Easter Dress and Ties

We live down the street from some really great people in our ward who are very talented in many ways. Becca is an amazing seamstress. I mean amazing she can design and make wedding dresses! So...it was suggested that I sew something and I decided to make Autumn a Easter dress and the boys ties. It took awhile but I learned so much about sewing and a bonus was I was able hang out with Becca and our friend Melissa who is also a very crafty person. While making these dresses I had fantasies of taking the perfect family picture before church with everyone smiling and thanking me for the hard work I had done. Well the morning started off with one son who refused to where the tie, a white shirt with unknowing holes and then the topper on the cake was the situation above. Let's just say we will not be blowing this up and putting it on the mantle. These pictures did provide a comic relief that was much needed that morning so we could attend church and think of the reason why I wanted this day to be so special, the Resurrection of the Savior and our Heavenly Father's plan for us. However I think that even He Himself got a kick out of this family's Easter!
