A Trip Wiht My Honey

I am...BATMAN

Every Christmas has the toy that is a hit with not only the receiver but the giver and everyone around. This for our family was the 4 ft. spread batman wings. As Christmas grew nearer Keston started asking for batman wings and it came to the point when that was all he talked about. OK so no biggie I have seen them everywhere I will just go to Walmart and get a pair. Easier said than done. No one had any left. As we panickingly searched nothing was our result. We had family members checking online while we shopped and it seriously got depressing. When I thought, you know I am just going to check one more time. So I bent down level with the bottom shelf and dug behind some other toys and...BATMAN WINGS!!! It was amazing and sad because I am sure someone hid them there but I needed them. So we bought them and felt the Christmas spirit radiating from us as we walked out of the store. Keston was so thrilled to receive them he wore them the whole trip and showed everyone who came over.

Nativity Scene

When we were planning our trip to San Antonio my wonderful mother wanted to know what traditions I wanted to start with my family and so I mentioned I thought the kids were getting old enough to act out the Nativity story. And of course she ran with it and made sheep ears and material for Mary and Joseph. The family loved it! Autumn was Mary and we tried to make Pierce the baby Jesus but he wanted to be a sheep. Which by the way I thought Pierce was the cutest little sheep I have ever seen. We even tried to get the dog to be a sheep but she didn't really go for that. We did have a surprise visitor come to our inn that night. You guessed it BATMAN!! Keston preferred to be Batman and we didn't want to make him upset as we were telling the story so he was happy and listened, and not to mention with batman there we were all safe that night! But in all seriousness I thought it was so great to act it out and to teach the children about that single event that changed our lives forever. Even though it has been months since Christmas I am still grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who sent His Son here for me. How symbolic to be dressed like sheep, we are all sheep and he is the good Shepperd if we will look to Him he will not lead us astray.

Sea World

When we went to San Antonio this past Christmas we went to Sea World. Now I have to admit we go to Sea World every year because they will give free tickets once a year to military and their dependents. So my point is that there are not any pics of the animals this trip. The kids loved the play area. Daddy played with them and climbed on the rope and onto the big pirate ship. This was a big hit with Keston. We were so glad that Uncle Cy and Gabriela were there this year. We had a great time as always.

Sea World

We LOVE Sponge Rollers!!

We have discovered sponge rollers for Miss Autumn. And we love them!! She gets so excited when we put them in but when she goes to bed she says they hurt a little bit. I tell her we can take them out if they hurt but she just looks at me and says but I want to keep them in they make my hair "Fancy". Well it has started the pain girls will go through so they can look "Fancy". I love these pictures because not only does she have rollers in her hair but her outfit is also very "Fancy". Autumn Maree we do love you!

Puzzles With Papa

Autumn LOVES puzzles, she really likes trying to figure them out on her own but still wants you there just in case. While visiting she was able to put some together with Papa. This was very special seems how she doesn't live close to Nona and Papa so any activity with them is extra special!
