This fall we went to a local apple orchard and picked apples. The weather was a little overcast but that didn't stop us we got our buckets and started picking. The kids really enjoyed picking the apples they tried very hard to pick the best ones and Pierce...well he just enjoyed eating them! It was great to see all the different varieties they had we tried a new apple, the Arkansa Red Apple (I think that was the name). We ended up picking over 10 lbs of apples. The place we went to is so cute they have a little cafe and offer a variety of specialty food items. When we came back they were roasting green chili's so of course we had to buy some as well as there famous apple bread and some local honey. The highlight for Autumn was seeing her new teacher from preschool. I love this time of year when then the earth is preparing for winter and all the many colors that come with that process. We have been learning a lot about eating things that are fresh, natural and healthy so this was great to show the kiddos exactly that! This is a tradition that we will do as a family every fall. The only bad part about our trip this year was Bubee couldn't be with us she had to work but there is always next year. The picture with Keston on his Daddys' shoulders is onr of my favorite Keston is saying "You betcha!"
